“Samandar” Song Lyrics with English Translation with Real Meaning

Tu Heer meri.... tu jism mera
You’re my Heer, you’re my body (soul)
Main ranjha hoon.... Libaas tera
I’m Ranjha you’re attire

Tu Heer meri.... tu jism mera
You’re my Heer, you’re my body (soul)
Main ranjha hoon.... Libaas tera
I’m Ranjha you’re attire

Heer (f) & Ranjha (m) are epic lovers of ancient times, they are founded in Pujabi tragic romantics. Some say they were real person some say they are creation of writer, but their love story is really tragic, at the end of the story Heer unknowingly ate poisoned sweet and died, Ranjha didn’t want to live alone and ate the remaining poisoned sweet and died by his lover’s side

Aa yun qareeb tu...
Come so close to me (and stay close, so that)
Chhu loon main teri rooh
I can touch (not only your body) even your soul
Bin tere main hoon be-nishaan...
Without you I don’t exist in this world

Samandar main... kinara tu...
I’m the sea and you’re my shore (destination)
Jo bikhru main... sahara tu...
If I get scattered then you’re my support

Samandar main... kinara tu...
I’m the sea and you’re my shore (destination)
Jo bikhru main... sahara tu...
If I get scattered then you’re my support

Pehle thi bewajah...
I was living without any aim or reason
Phir aake tu mila
Then you came in my life
Khwabon ko zinda kar diya...
Dreams are given new life by your love
Apna wajood ka hissa bana diya
You made me a part of your existence
Qatre ko dariya kar diya....
You turned a drop into a river

Shirin hai tu.... tu meri zubaan...
You’re my Shirin, you’re my tongue/speech
Farhaad hoon main.... alfaaz tera...
I’m Farhaad, your spoken words

Farhaad was a humble engineer of ancient Turkey, while Shirin was the queen of Armenia, Farhaad fell in love with Shirin, he was sent to make a tunnel through mount Behistun, before going for that impossible work Farhaad sculpted Shirin’s image in a stone, at the end of this tragic story Farhaad was tricked into believing that Shirin was dead so, Farhaad kills himself with the very same tools he used to carve the image of Shirin in stone

Aa yun qareeb tu...
Come so close to me (and stay close, so that)
Chhu loon main teri rooh
I can touch (not only your body) even your soul
Bin tere main hoon be-nishaan
Without you I don’t exist in this world

Samandar main... kinara tu...
I’m the sea and you’re my shore (destination)
Jo bikhru main... sahara tu...
If I get scattered then you’re my support

Samandar main... kinara tu...
I’m the sea and you’re my shore (destination)
Jo bikhru main... sahara tu...
If I get scattered then you’re my support

Sehra ki dhool thi
I was just a sand of Sahara (desert)
Tune qubool ki
(Yet) You accepted me (my love)
Main aashmaani ho gayi...
I am now flying in sky (in joy)
Jaagu na umr bhar...
I won’t wake up ever
Jo mere humsafar Bahoon mein teri so gayi...
If I’m sleeping in my lifelong lover’s arms

Tu Laila hai... nigaah meri
You’re Laila, my eyes
Main Majnu hoon... talaash teri...
I’m Majnu, your desire

Again a tragic love story, Qais(m) and Laila(f) fell in love in childhood but when they grew up Laila’s father objected their relation, Qais used to write poems praising Laila whole day, he was so possessed in love with Laila that everyone called him Majnu (crazy), Laila’s father forced Laila to marry a handsome rich Merchant, hearing the news of Laila’s marriage Majnu fled from his village and started wandering in desert almost mentally unbalanced, he was sometimes seen reciting poems to himself about Laila or writing on sand with stick, in the meantime Laila moved to a different place with her husband where she died either due to illness or due to heartbreak of not getting Majnu as husband, at the end of the story, Majnu was found dead near Laila’s grave, before dying Majnu carved 3 verses of poetry on a rock near Laila’s grave

O...

Aa yun qareeb tu...
Come so close to me (and stay close, so that)
Chhu loon main teri rooh
I can touch (not only your body) even your soul
Bin tere main hoon be-nishaan
Without you I don’t exist in this world

Samandar main... kinara tu...
I’m the sea and you’re my shore (destination)
Jo bikhru main... sahara tu...
If I get scattered then you’re my support

Samandar main... kinara tu...

Jo bikhru main... sahara tu...
If I get scattered then you’re my support
